I am a proud mom of my daughter Courtney, who has a disability. Being her mom has taught me the strength, patience, and advocacy it takes to understand how disability impacts a child, a family, and the support they need at school and in the community.
Mental health challenges are growing throughout the United States. Recent school screenings have reported that 15 percent of our high school students are impacted by anxiety and depression. I want to help these families.
Families facing a mental health crisis often cannot find programs, long-term care, or stabilization services. Our community can do better.
Supporting people over politics is why I am running for DuPage County Board District 2. With your vote, I will work with health experts and organizations to create affordable and sustainable solutions for families in DuPage without raising our property taxes.
